Management Challenges:

We provide one utility person during the day, two workers and a night supervisor for work done after 5 pm. This location is a full-service site, which includes all aspects of janitorial services, such as lobby, windows and carpet cleaning on a daily works. We regularly perform project work like stripping and waxing floors without additional personnel. Cushman Wakefield is considered to be one of the nation’s best property management firms; as such we insured that our staff met their strict class-A building standards.

Management Challenges:

1999 to March 2002: WCI assumed responsibility for the maintenance of four main warehouses. The 901 site is a high security, high traffic facility. This northwest side facility houses 300 workers and receives 50 contractor/visitors per day. WCI services provided all facets of building maintenance services in this high activity environment in the midst of all client and employee activities. WCI workers perform complete building maintenance services with zero downtime; call work was performed along with the Client’s staff. This job is performed from 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day Monday through Friday. This job consists of cleaning the following facilities: 212,000 square feet of office and warehouse space. The facility warehouses all the materials and parts used to repair any facet of CTA services, be they buses, trains, turnstiles, fare receptacles, etc.

SKOKIE SHOP:

A warehouse repair center located in the Northwestern suburbs for which it is named. The space spans 400,000 square feet and consists of fifteen management offices, thirteen bathrooms, many with large locker rooms attached. Additionally, there is general workspace used for repairing/rebuilding of parts and the repair of CTA Trains. This location houses 125 workers. Two WCI employees clean the warehouse space during the day between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Administrative office space is cleaned at night. Washrooms are re-cleaned at night. Special projects are also performed during the night shift.

Location 3: CTA Training Academy:

This 31st Street warehouse trains new employees in the operation of CTA buses and on janitorial procedures. The space here consists of office space and bay areas with make-ups for training. WCI provides full janitorial the day.

Location # 4: Small Site:

We also serve two other small CTA sites that serve as end of line docking Terminals; one is located at 63rd Street, and the other at 72nd and Vincennes, that required on requested service.
